To encourage and facilitate the purchase of works by local artists by bringing them to the attention of the local art-buying market, plus the wider one of the visitors to Norfolk.
A useful, informative, annual North Norfolk fine art directory that gives readers the year’s programme of art exhibitions and events, introductions to local artists, where to view and purchase their work, and an opportunity for local galleries and dealers to promote their businesses.
There is a very strong fine art ‘scene’ in North Norfolk. Many artists live and work here. They hold exhibitions, ‘open studios’ and sell their work from their studios or via local galleries. There is a market for their works with visitors, second-home owners and residents. There is no comprehensive, up-to-date guide to, or directory of, the possibilities to view and buy local art. Marketing efforts by local artists are fragmented and vaguely targeted.
